Emporium is returning to Ashe County. The popular retail outlet, owned by Bill and Karen Radcliff, operated
for 10 years in downtown West Jefferson, providing a unique place to shop for
all Ashe County residents and tourist a like. Unable to renew a contract for its downtown location, the business was
forced to close. Sally Mae's is pleased
to announce the store has been approved to operate in the Northwest Trading
Post building at Mile Post 259 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Owners are targeting a Memorial Day weekend
opening, if not earlier.
