The Appalachian Mural Trail Adds West Jefferson!
The Ashe Chamber Tourism Committee is pleased to announce that the Town Of West Jefferson is now part of the Appalachian Mural Trail. Listed under theBlue Ridge Parkway Mural Guide, West Jefferson is home to 17 murals, all within walking distance of each other. The trail encircles the Blue Ridge Parkway and draws in visitors to many towns and communities where outdoor murals are located, helping the economy through increased tourism and the employment of artists. Cities and towns surrounding the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountain areas are invited to submit their murals to the Appalachian Mural Trail through an interactive website, muraltrail.com.
